Google Slide Presentation on iPhone Camera Setup and Troubleshooting

Setup Instructions

  • Attach the iPhones to the brackets as pictured

  • Connect the ethernet cable coming out of the wall into the PoE adapter

  • Use velcro to attach the adapter to the wall underneath the wall plate

  • Push the ethernet cable into the wall to remove the extra slack if it will allow. Do not force the cable into the wall.

  • If the iPhone uses USB-C, use the USB-C cable that came with the iPhone, connect it to the PoE adapter and to the phone.

  • The passcode to open each iPhone is 4653

  • On each iPhone, open the settings app then tap Wi-Fi. Connect to the golftec guest network

  • Go back to the main settings menu then tap Display & Brightness

  • Scroll down then tap Auto-Lock and change it to Never

  • On each phone, go to:

    • Settings

    • Tap Ethernet

    • Tap Gigabit +PoE Adapter

  • Tap Configure IP and select Manual

  • Here you will enter the Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. Instructions for that are on the next slide.

  • The IP address will have a different last octet for each phone though.

    • For example, if the IPv4 address is 169.254.33.183, then you will enter 169.254.33.200 on the phone.

  • One phone will have an IP that ends in .200 and the other phone will end in .201.

  • If you have three phones, the last one will end in .202

  • Always enter 255.255.0.0 for the subnet mask.

How to find the Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address

  • Search in Windows for Command Prompt

  • Type ipconfig and hit enter

  • It will be the IP address starting in 169.254 like the highlighted address below

Opening the GOLFTEC Camera App

  • From the phone’s home screen, open the GOLFTEC Camera App as pictured here.

  • Click on the record button at the button.

  • This should show you a silhouette from the side or front view.

  • Select the front or side view that matches the phones location.

Allow Camera Access

  • After connecting the connecting the GOLFTEC camera app, you will see a pop up message that is asking TECSWING to connect to the iPhone.

  • Make sure to tap allow when that comes up

  • Also, tap allow when you see the message “GOLFTEC-Camera” would like to find and connect devices on your local network.

  • At this point, your work is done and GOLFTEC TECsupport will finish setting up the cameras in TECSWING. Please submit a ticket if you have not already.

Tech Support Setup

  • Log into admin settings at the bottom left corner of the TECSWING login screen.

  • Select Admin as highlighted in the picture

  • Using the same instructions from the earlier slides, you are going to enter the phone IP addresses into the camera IP address field highlighted here.

  • Separate each IP address with a semicolon and no spaces.

  • Select save and allow TECSWING to reboot.

  • The iPhone cameras should be ready to go now!

Troubleshooting

  • A common problem we see with iPhone camera bays is that TECSWING will automatically close shortly after opening the program.

    • First step is to close the camera app and power off each phone.

    • Power them both back on and reopen the camera app.

    • Open TECSWING now and you should be good to go.

  • If cameras are out of sync, please restart the GOLFTEC camera app on each phone then restart TECSWING

  • If TECSWING shows any camera error messages, check to make sure the app is running and not frozen. Restart the app if necessary. Make sure the app is now running and showing live video before launching TECSWING.

  • If you are still having any problems that are preventing you from teaching, go to 911.golftec.com to send in an emergency ticket. Make sure to provide the computer number and a specific explanation of the problem.
